awards and accolades
Congratulations to ACDL member Frank ArleoFrank Arleo recently gained an acquittal for his client after a four month jury trial in federal district court in Newark before the Honorable William H. Walls. Frank’s client was charged with a conspiracy to commit money laundering. At trial, the government argued that the defendants had knowingly laundered millions of dollars in cash for a Colombian drug cartel. Frank convinced the jury that his client was unaware of the source of the funds and that she had not been willfully blind to the fact that the cash transactions were drug proceeds.
