MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

I would like to welcome everyone to the ACDL-NJ website. Our organization has over 400 members and is one of the strongest specialty bar associations in the New York metropolitan area. We envision an active and productive year which will include seminars and other educational events. Please check the calendar area of the website. Most trustees meetings are open to members. If interested, please contact Ginny Whipple-Berkner, our Executive Director or any trustee, in advance of the particular meeting that you are interested in.

We are involved in numerous significant cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court, as amicus. Your interest in these matters is being advanced by thoughtful and respected advocates, assigned by the ACDL-NJ.

Should you have a desire to participate on one or more of our committees, please contact Ms. Whipple-Berkner or any trustee.

Remember that we have a lawyer’s assistance committee that is available to any member who is receiving undue pressure from a court or prosecutor. This assistance is available free of charge.

I encourage all lawyers who practice criminal law to join our organization.
